Nexus Water Group is seeking a Water-Wastewater Operator II for Lake Placid, FL. The role operates and maintains treatment facilities, ensuring EPA and state compliance, while performing routine monitoring, sampling, and maintenance.

This position requires on-call rotation, travel between worksites, and a strong focus on safety and reliability. Applicants should have 3–5 years of mechanical experience, including chemical treatment, with a high school diploma and a second-level operator license.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years mechanical experience, including at least 3 years specializing in chemical treatment of water and/or wastewater.
• Experience in operation and maintenance of groundwater-supplied water systems and distribution systems.
• High school Diploma and state second-level operator license (or in process).

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains water and/or wastewater treatment equipment, ensuring compliance with state and federal environmental protection limits.
• Monitors and samples well and groundwater, adjusts treatment levels as needed.
• Reads meters and gauges; maintains logs and reports of plant operations.
• Performs routine cleaning, maintenance and safety checks; assists with emergencies and repairs.
