Nexus Water Group is seeking a Water-Wastewater Operator I to join our operations near Reno, NV. This role operates and maintains treatment facilities, ensuring regulatory compliance and safety.

The position involves daily field work, meter reading, data logging, and coordination with the Lead Operator for emergency procedures. Requirements include a high school diploma and a state first-level operator license (or ability to obtain within 1 year).

Qualifications

• 2-4 years mechanical experience, including chemical treatment of water or wastewater.
• Experience in water/wastewater utility field with operation and maintenance.
• Read meters and records; perform basic data entry and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains water and/or wastewater treatment equipment.
• Monitors and samples water; adjusts treatment levels as needed.
• Reads meters/gauges and maintains logs and reports.
• Performs routine repairs and coordinates major repairs as required.
• Adheres to EPA/state regulations and safety procedures.
• On-call and travel between Reno-area service sites as scheduled.
