Job summary

City of Pasadena is seeking a maintenance worker to join a team installing and repairing water lines, fire hydrants and valves, and installing new meters and taps. Must maintain licenses and meet job requirements; adhere to schedule and city attendance policy.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED with one year related experience, valid Texas driver’s license, and the ability to lift and handle moderate to heavy loads, kneel, bend, push, pull, and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and one year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Texas driver’s license and good driving record.
• Position may require moderate to heavy lifting and carrying; kneeling, crouching and bending; pushing, pulling and reaching; and standing for prolonged periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Working with co‑workers as a team on installing water lines, repairing water lines, fire hydrants and valves.
• Installing new meters and taps.
• Must have and maintain, without interruption, all necessary licenses, certifications, clearances, and/or job requirements.
• Works the assigned schedule and complies with the City’s timekeeping and attendance policy.
