Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an Instrumentation & I&C System Design Engineer to join our Resilience Water team in Ohio or Detroit. Lead I&C, automation, and SCADA design, with exposure to environmental remediation, industrial and municipal water/wastewater facilities.

The role involves producing design documents, coordinating with multi-discipline teams, and mentoring junior staff while advancing SCADA networks and control systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Environmental Engineering or a closely related field.
• 5+ years of I&C, Automation, and SCADA system design experience in water/wastewater.
• EIT/Professional Engineer license.

Responsibilities

• Produce design and construction documents for I&C projects.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, and electrical engineers on the project.
• Develop SCADA system architecture, P&IDs, and network diagrams.
• Program PLCs and configure HMIs for SCADA across platforms; produce narratives and specifications.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers.
