Job summary
Arcadis is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) System Design Engineer to join our Resilience Water team in Ohio or Detroit. You will lead I&C, automation, and SCADA design for environmental remediation and water/wastewater projects.
The role involves creating design criteria, P&IDs, SCADA networks, and control narratives, coordinating with multi-discipline teams, and mentoring junior staff. Travel up to 25% is expected.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Environmental Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of I&C, Automation, and SCADA system design and implementation experience in water/wastewater.
- EIT/Professional Engineer license.
Responsibilities
- Produce design and construction documents for projects.
- Coordinate with process, mechanical, and electrical engineers assigned to the project.
- Prepare technical memorandums and develop design criteria, SCADA system architecture, P&IDs, and control schematics.
- Develop SCADA network diagrams, interconnection diagrams, and HMI configurations.
- Lead project facets including budgeting, planning, cost estimating, and execution of SCADA and I&C systems.
- Mentor junior engineers and designers.
