Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a Utility Worker to perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and repair of wastewater systems, tanks, drains, and related structures. The role involves operating pumps, lift stations, and CMMS-based task logging, with strong safety and teamwork focus.

The position requires a high school diploma and basic electrical knowledge; prior experience with pumps and mechanical systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• At least six months experience in a related position and environment preferred.
• Experience with a variety of machinery, vehicles, material handling equipment, hand and power tools preferred.
• Must have a strong electrical background working with pumps and motors.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, repairs, and operates wastewater infrastructure components including underground pipes, manholes, and lift stations.
• Keeps treatment plant areas tidy, including grounds maintenance.
• Operates high-pressure water jet trucks and rodders to clear blockages and prevent overflows.
• Inspects, repairs, and constructs manholes, cleanouts, and catch basins; excavates damaged sewer mains and joints.
