Job summary

Essential Utilities, Inc. is seeking a Water & Wastewater Field Supervisor for the White Haven division, reporting to the Northeast Area Manager.

The role oversees operations, maintenance, staffing, safety, budgeting, and employee performance for water and wastewater facilities in the assigned area. The position requires experience in water/wastewater operations and supervisory responsibilities, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• An associate or bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Experience in water/wastewater utility operations and/or supervisory experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee an on-site team including facility operators, seasonal staff, and contractors while prioritizing safety and compliance.
• Lead HR processes: interviews, hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, and coaching.
• Conduct regular staff meetings for updates and continuous improvement.
• Manage Work Orders for the division; monitor status and ensure close-out and proper classification.
• Implement Aqua safety policies and review site safety; address deficiencies.
• Develop training programs to maintain staff competency in their roles.
• Prepare and monitor budgets, assist with capital project funding with engineering and senior management.
• Monitor compliance data and regulatory reporting; ensure inventory of materials and coordination with other groups.
• Build partnerships with local utilities, municipalities, DEP, and fire departments for projects.
