Job summary

RK&K is seeking a Construction Inspector experienced in water/wastewater utility construction inspection or knowledgeable in infrastructure construction. The role supports a Field Engineering and Inspection project originating out of the Treasure Coast and Southeast FL area.

Inspectors work independently on site, collaborating with project managers and engineers to ensure conformance with plans, codes, and project specifications on water, wastewater, stormwater, and related infrastructure

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3+ years in construction administration and inspection of water/wastewater or related infrastructure.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specs, and test results.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; proficient in organizing documentation.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and tablet-based PDF tools.
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of water/wastewater and related facilities to verify compliance with plans and codes.
• Inspect roadway infrastructure including earthwork, asphalt, concrete, and drainage per contract documents.
• Provide field engineering and contract support (submittals, RFIs, change orders) on site and in office.
• Document inspection activities with daily reports and organized field files.
• Coordinate material testing to ensure compliance with specs.
• Take field measurements for pay quantities and contract administration.
