Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) seeks a Construction Engineering Inspector to support engineers on Water/Wastewater and Utility projects in Tampa, FL. The candidate should have 3+ years of field experience, strong reading of plans, and familiarity with PMIS tools such as Procore or eBuilder.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of related field project experience.
• Strong understanding of municipal specifications and FDOT standards.
• Ability to read plans and specifications.
• Knowledge of construction site safety practices.
• Willingness to travel within Florida.
• Client-required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Inspect water, wastewater, stormwater, utilities and related facilities construction for compliance with plans and codes.
• Inspect roadway infrastructure including earthwork, asphalt, concrete and drainage for contract conformance.
• Provide field engineering and contract support on site and in the office.
• Document inspection activities with daily reports and maintain field files.
• Coordinate material testing to ensure compliance with project specs.
• Prepare punch lists and final inspection reports; support close-out.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and project teams across disciplines.""],
