Job summary

Aqua, an Essential Utilities company, is hiring for a Facility Operator Trainee. You will assist the operation of water and wastewater facilities, lift stations, and distribution systems under supervision. No prior experience required; a valid U.S. driver's license is necessary.

As you progress, you will pursue licenses (C Well, Grade I/II/III) with a structured progression plan and work in a demanding, safety-conscious environment, including field site travel and 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• No previous experience required.
• A valid U.S. Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Maintains equipment at water production facilities and booster stations.
• Operates and maintains distribution systems including mains, valves, hydrants and service lines.
• Maintains equipment at wastewater facilities and lift stations.
• Operates sewer collection systems including mains and pump stations.
• Troubleshoots and repairs service piping and related equipment.
• Performs routine water quality analysis per procedures.
• Adjusts chemical treatment to meet water quality standards.
• Completes customer service work orders and updates system documentation.
• Performs tasks safely per policies and laws.
