Job summary

Aqua, an Essential Utilities company, invites applicants for a Facility Operator Trainee. Under the Field Supervisor, you will support the operation of water production facilities, wastewater treatment, lift stations, distribution systems, and the wastewater collection network, gaining hands-on experience in a safety-focused environment.

No prior experience required; a high school diploma or GED and a valid U.S. driver's license are needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment at water production facilities and booster stations.
• Operate and maintain distribution systems including mains, valves, hydrants, and service lines.
• Maintain equipment at wastewater treatment facilities and lift stations.
• Operate sewer collection systems and pump stations.
• Troubleshoot and repair service piping and related equipment.
• Perform routine water quality analyses per procedures.
• Make operational adjustments to meet water quality standards.
• Complete work orders and document activities per policy.
• Attend to safety and company guidelines at all times.
