Job summary

Aqua, an Essential Utilities company, invites applications for a Facility Operator Apprentice in the Fort Worth area. You will perform scheduled plant inspections, monitor gauges, collect samples, and maintain treatment records while supporting 24/7 operations.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid Texas driver’s license, and the ability to obtain a TCEQ Class C groundwater license within 24 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid U.S. Driver's License.
• Must obtain a Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Class "C" groundwater license within 24 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled plant inspections and serves as Operator in charge of assigned systems.
• Completes customer service work orders, updates, and maintains appropriate system documentation.
• Monitors gauges, meters and control panels; records meter and gauge readings.
• Maintains records pertaining to production, maintenance and treatment; reads charts and gauges.
• Collects samples and performs necessary chemical analysis.
• Travels to Aqua sites as needed; on-call rotations and overtime as scheduled.
