Job summary

Aqua, an Essential Utilities company, is hiring a Facility Operator for the Fort Worth, TX area. The role supports operation of water production facilities, wastewater treatment facilities, lift stations, and the distribution system to ensure reliable service.

Under the Field Supervisor, you will perform essential duties, maintain equipment, analyze water quality, and ensure compliance with state and federal standards while being on-call for 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License.
• Licensing: at least C Well or Grade I for FO1; for FO2: B Well or Grade II; for FO3: A Well or Grade III.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment at water production facilities and booster stations.
• Operate and maintain distribution mains, valves, hydrants and service lines.
• Maintain equipment at the wastewater treatment facilities and lift stations.
• Operate and maintain sewer collection systems including mains and pump stations.
• Troubleshoot and repair service piping and related equipment.
• Perform routine water quality analysis per procedures.
• Adjust chemical treatments to meet water quality standards.
• Complete work orders and maintain system documentation.
• Be on-call nights and weekends to staff 24/7 operations.
