Aqua, an Essential Utilities company, is seeking a Facility Operator Apprentice in the Fort Worth area to support water and wastewater treatment operations. The role involves inspections, data recording, sample collection, and cooperative work within a multi-site team.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid U.S. Driver's License, and must obtain a Texas groundwater license within 24 months. A company vehicle is provided and a weekly on-call rotation is required.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or the equivalent is required.
• Must have a valid U.S. Driver's License.
• Candidate will be required to obtain a Texas Class C groundwater license within 24 months.
• Ability to understand and accurately follow operating instructions both written and verbal.

Aufgaben

• Performs scheduled plant inspections and serves as Operator in charge of assigned systems.
• Completes customer service work orders, updates, and maintains appropriate system documentation of activities and close work orders in accordance with department policies and procedures.
• Monitors gauges, meters and controls, and manages variations and operating conditions of the treatment process.
• Records meter and gauge readings.
• Maintains all records pertaining to production, maintenance and treatment as required including reading charts, flow meters, and gauges to detect equipment malfunctions.
• Collects samples and performs necessary chemical analysis in accordance with system sampling requirements.
• Performs other duties or special projects as requested related to the area of responsibility.
