Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers in Plano, Texas is seeking a Practice Leader to oversee all Water/Wastewater projects, provide technical leadership, and drive strategic growth.

You will guide design teams, manage budgets and schedules, mentor engineers, develop client relations, and engage with professional associations to advance the practice.

Requirements include a BS in civil or agricultural engineering, a Texas P.E., 15+ years of project leadership, and experience with water treatment and membranes.

Qualifications

• BS in agricultural or civil engineering from ABET-accredited college or university.
• Texas Professional Engineer (P.E.) designation or ability to acquire within 3 months.
• Minimum 15 years' experience managing substantial Water/Wastewater projects; at least 10 years leading projects.
• Industry-recognized expertise in water supply, water treatment, booster stations, and wastewater treatment.
• Excellent written and oral communication across all levels of the organization.
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients, public officials, and community leaders.
• Proven ability to lead a team of engineers and support personnel.
• Active involvement in professional associations and civic organizations.
• Must be able to work 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall guidance on design and technical aspects of projects with emphasis on water and wastewater treatment processes.
• Prepare proposals and client agreements
• Monitor project tasks, budgets, and schedules with Senior/Project Managers
• Oversee technical and professional development of project teams
• Develop and maintain company design and production standards
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, public officials, and community leaders
• Participate in professional associations and civic organizations
