Pape-Dawson Engineers in Plano, Texas is seeking a Practice Leader to oversee all Water/Wastewater projects, provide technical leadership, and drive strategic growth.

You will guide design teams, manage budgets and schedules, mentor engineers, develop client relations, and engage with professional associations to advance the practice.

Requirements include a BS in civil or agricultural engineering, a Texas P.E., 15+ years of project leadership, and experience with water treatment and membranes.

Formación

• BS in agricultural or civil engineering from ABET-accredited college or university.
• Texas Professional Engineer (P.E.) designation or ability to acquire within 3 months.
• Minimum 15 years' experience managing substantial Water/Wastewater projects; at least 10 years leading projects.
• Industry-recognized expertise in water supply, water treatment, booster stations, and wastewater treatment.
• Excellent written and oral communication across all levels of the organization.
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients, public officials, and community leaders.
• Proven ability to lead a team of engineers and support personnel.
• Active involvement in professional associations and civic organizations.
• Must be able to work 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday.

The Practice Leader will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of our Water/Wastewater projects, providing technical expertise, and driving strategic growth.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall guidance on the design and technical aspects of the team(s) projects with particular emphasis on traditional and advanced physical, chemical and biological water and wastewater treatment processes. Experience with membranes and brackish water treatment is desirable.
• Prepare proposals and client agreements
• Monitor project tasks, budgets, and schedules with Senior Project Managers and Project Managers
• Responsible for the oversight of technical and professional development of project team(s)
• Participate in developing company design and production standards
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, public agency officials and community leaders
• Actively participate in professional associations and civic organizations

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural or civil engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) designation in the State of Texas (or ability to acquire within 3 months)
• Minimum of 15 years' experience managing substantial projects from conception to completion including estimating costs of technical tasks in W/WW projects; at least 10 of those years managing projects. Houston area experience and contacts are a strong plus
• Industry recognized professional in one or more of the following areas: water supply, water treatment, water booster stations, and wastewater treatment.
• Proven ability to effectively communicate, both oral and written skills, with all levels of employees in an organization
• Proven ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, public agency officials, and community leaders
• Proven ability to lead a team of engineers and support personnel
• Actively involved in professional associations and civic organizations
• Must be able to work 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday
