Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, a dynamic employee-owned firm, seeks a Civil Engineering Intern in Virginia Beach to assist engineers with design tasks and project documentation. You will gain practical experience by supporting drawings for programming, schematic design, modeling, and construction phases.

Active participation in site visits, preparing presentation materials, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams will be key.

Qualifications

• Full-time student pursuing an ABET-accredited undergraduate degree in civil engineering.
• Interest in water and wastewater projects.
• Coursework in a related field and prior internship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior or lead engineers with basic design tasks and documentation.
• Support development of drawings for programming, schematic design, and construction phases.
• Help prepare presentation and marketing materials.
• Participate in site visits and assist with RFI responses and record drawings updates.
