Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson seeks a career-minded Water/Wastewater engineer to advance within a fast-growing practice. You will plan and lead designs for sewer and water systems, pump stations, and treatment processes, coordinating with a team on multiple projects in the Mid-Atlantic.

Responsibilities include design computations, development of cost estimates, and ensuring quality and schedule adherence with limited supervision, delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• ABET‑accredited bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering.
• 5–10 years’ relevant engineering experience.
• Proficient with design software including AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, ArcGIS and MS Project.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project requirements and information from studies to develop accurate reports for submittal.
• Coordinate with design teams, ensuring integration of hydraulic and sewer design elements.
• Develop construction cost estimates and prepare contract plans, specs and estimates.
• Support client meetings and document meeting minutes; supervise design engineers as needed.
