Job summary

Halff Associates, Inc. is seeking a Water/Wastewater Intern to join our team in Richardson, TX. You will assist with drainage and stormwater analysis, support water and wastewater utility projects, and help with modeling, planning, design, and construction tasks under supervision.

The internship runs June 7 through August 13, 2027, with full-time (40 hours/week) schedules. Interns are paid hourly; housing is not provided. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Self-motivated with strong organizational abilities

Responsibilities

• Design civil engineering projects under direct supervision of a Professional Engineer
• Assist in drainage and stormwater analysis and design
• Support Water & Wastewater Utility projects including pipeline and facility modeling
• Assist in preparation of plans, specs, and cost estimates
• Perform CAD drafting and basic calculations
• Assist in permit applications and regulatory documents
• Coordinate with surveyors, architects, and contractors
• Attend client and regulatory meetings
