Job summary

HDR is seeking an Industrial Water/Wastewater Engineer to lead mid-size projects, supervise staff, and deliver high-quality design packages for water and wastewater facilities. The role emphasizes independent work, teamwork, and strong client communication.

The candidate should have a civil engineering degree, a PE or equivalent license, and several years of relevant design experience. This is a full-time, on-site position in the United States with an employee-owned culture at HDR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience designing and creating plans/specifications for water and wastewater.
• Professional engineering license recognized by licensing board (PE or equivalent).
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with a project team.
• Active participant in employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for complex assignments and select design techniques.
• Decide on significant design and engineering procedures as needed.
• Serve as technical specialist or project manager on mid-size projects.
• Supervise a small staff of professionals and technicians.
• Perform other duties as needed with strong communication and reporting.
