Job summary

HDR is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our NTX/OK/AR team. The role covers planning, directing, and monitoring complex water and wastewater design projects, with emphasis on pump stations and pipelines, and collaboration with clients and staff.

Preferred candidates hold an MS and have at least five years of relevant design experience. A PE license is required, and commitment to HDR's employee-owned culture is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Self-motivated; able to work independently and with a project team.
• Active participant in our employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and monitor technical aspects of pump station, pipeline, drinking water, and wastewater design projects.
• Take responsibility for complex assignments and modify standard engineering techniques as needed.
• Engage with clients and act as technical specialist or project manager on mid-size projects.
• Coordinate staffing and workload across the project to deliver documents on schedule.
• Supervise small staff of professionals and technicians as needed.
• Implement QA/QC procedures and participate in training for personnel as established.
• Participate in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance.
