Job summary

The City of Lancaster, Texas, is seeking a Water/Wastewater Supervisor to manage the field crew and oversee operations, maintenance, and safety procedures. The role requires leadership of 1–4 employees, logging critical data, and ensuring service reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Class B CDL required.
• Class C Water License required.
• Class II Wastewater Collection License required.
• Confined Space Attendant Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise 1–4 crew members in water/wastewater operations.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of water/wastewater systems.
• Log work orders, bypasses, leaks, and main breaks.
• Assist in installation, maintenance, or replacement of mains/services.
• Resolve customer complaints due to leaks or blockages.
• Train employees in proper operation and maintenance of systems.
• Locate water and sewer lines for other utilities.
• Work in confined spaces with gas measurement equipment.
• Handle records on pump age, inventory, and daily logs.
• Collaborate with Foreman and report issues as they arise.
• Be available 24/7 on-call status; primary on-call once per month.
