Job summary

MWH Constructors in the Las Vegas, NV area is seeking a qualified Project Manager to lead critical water and wastewater construction projects, including advanced treatment facilities, for municipal and industrial clients. Projects range from $20–$800 million and use delivery methods such as CM-at-Risk, Design-Build, and traditional Design-Bid-Build.

Qualifications

• 4-year engineering/construction management degree or equivalent experience and training/education.
• 7-10 years of construction, design, finance and management experience on heavy civil or industrial projects.
• 3-5 years of experience on water or wastewater plant projects.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Thorough understanding of corporate practices and their impact on project activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, staff key field positions and coordinate staffing with US Operations and other Area department heads.
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards.
• Initiate and maintain liaison with prime client and A/E contacts for preconstruction and construction activities.
• Monitor construction to ensure schedule and budget adherence.
• Represent the company in project meetings and negotiations.
• Manage contracts financials to protect company interests.
• Complete the Management Administration Plan prior to fieldwork.
• Ensure safety compliance and proper planning.
• Provide leadership to project engineers and superintendents.
• Procure subcontractors and materials.
• Support Change Management, Cost Estimating, revenue and forecasting.
• Take on additional responsibilities as directed by Regional Director.
