Job summary

MWH Constructors is seeking a Construction Manager for its Southern California CMS group. You will oversee project staff and consultants, ensuring work conforms to plans, specifications, and contract requirements while interfacing with owners, regulators, and engineers.

Ideal candidates bring 12+ years in municipal water/wastewater projects, 8+ years of leadership, and CCM or PMP (or willingness to obtain within 12 months). Strong communication and business development skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil, mechanical or electrical), construction management, or equivalent degree.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience managing municipal water and/or wastewater infrastructure projects.
• 8+ years of management experience including client interface and business development.
• CCM or PMP required, with intent to obtain CCM/PMP within 12 months.
• Thorough knowledge of construction practices, unions, labor agreements, and project controls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project staff and consultants to ensure work aligns with plans, specs, and contract requirements.
• Interface with client, regulators, and engineers to support project execution and development opportunities.
• Maintain schedule and budget; monitor progress and cost performance across all phases.
• Lead safety, quality assurance, and procurement processes; manage change orders and approvals.
• Develop new business opportunities with clients or within targeted geographies.
