Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP is seeking a Utility Construction Inspector for water and wastewater projects in the Lynchburg, VA area. The role involves daily construction management, site inspections, and reporting to ensure conformance with design plans and permits.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of related experience, a HS diploma (BS/AA in Construction Management preferred), and strong communication skills. Willingness to work nights/overtime and travel to sites is required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalency required.
• 2+ years experience in water/wastewater construction related areas.
• Must read/interpret plans and specs; capable of writing/drawing inspection reports.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with project document control software.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily construction management and inspection for water and wastewater projects.
• Monitor contractor work for conformance to plans, specs and permits.
• Complete daily electronic inspection reports and review payment requisitions.
• Maintain field documentation and as-built drawings.
