Kimley-Horn’s Phoenix, AZ office seeks a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 2+ years of municipal wastewater design experience to join the Water/Wastewater and Utilities team. This is not a remote position and offers mentorship and exposure to plan production and client interactions.

The role emphasizes collaboration across a multidisciplinary team, project budgeting, scheduling, and quality control, with opportunities for professional development and growth within a leading engineering firm.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of municipal wastewater engineering design experience.
• ABet-accredited Civil Engineering degree or higher.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design of water transmission and distribution systems, pumping stations, conveyance systems, water treatment systems.
• Contribute to water/wastewater utilities designs.
• Manage project tasks, design and permitting, construction coordination.
• Coordinate work with multidisciplinary team to complete projects.
• Maintain high-quality plan sets and check others' work.
• Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules.
• Receive training and mentorship on plan production, project financials, and client interactions.
