Kimley-Horn's Vero Beach, FL office is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 2+ years of municipal wastewater experience to join the Water/Wastewater and Utilities team. This is an in-office position in Vero Beach, Florida.

The role involves assisting in design of water/wastewater systems, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team, and gaining exposure to plan production, project budgets, and client interactions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of municipal wastewater engineering design experience.
• ABET-accredited Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering.
• Engineer-In-Training or Engineering Intern certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
• Experience with pipelines, pump stations, and hydraulic modeling.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing water transmission and distribution systems, pumping stations, and water treatment facilities.
• Contribute to municipal water/wastewater utility designs and master planning.
• Manage project tasks, design work, permitting, and construction coordination.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Support quality control and mentor junior staff as needed.
