Qualifications

• At least 1 year of general maintenance experience; water system or utility exposure desirable.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Any combination of experience and education that would provide the required knowledge and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Read water meters and record consumption; identify meter problems and perform minor maintenance.
• Operate maintenance equipment; shovel and repair pipelines; lay and repair pipelines.
• Read residential/commercial meters using manual and electronic methods; report meter conditions.
• Respond to emergency calls after hours.
• Install street barricades and control traffic around work sites.
