Job summary

City of Cleveland is seeking a Radio Dispatcher for the Water Department to monitor multi-channel radios, phones, and CCTV systems. You will answer calls, gather information for work orders, and dispatch tasks to the appropriate personnel.

This role requires a high school diploma, strong communication abilities, and the ability to type at least 25 words per minute. Experience with the Water billing system and MS Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must display good communication skills and have a good understanding of Distribution and Maintenance operations.
• Must be able to accurately type 25 words per minute.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate multi-channel radios, telephones, and/or CCTV systems.
• Answer incoming telephone calls, elicit pertinent information to write work orders.
• Dispatch work orders to the proper personnel and coordinate with field staff.
