City of Alexandria seeks an experienced senior manager to oversee the Water Department and Wastewater Department, including the treatment facility and distribution systems. Responsibilities include supervision, budgeting, contract administration, and ensuring compliance with EPA/DEQ rules.

Formación

• Seven years of progressively responsible supervisory experience in water utility management, contract administration, water system design and construction or related field.
• Must possess Class IV certifications in Water Production, Distribution, and Treatment and Wastewater Treatment and Collection as issued by the State of Louisiana.
• Must possess a valid driver's license. Will be required to obtain a valid State of Louisiana driver's license.

Responsabilidades

• Oversees construction, maintenance, and operations of the water production/distribution and wastewater systems.
• Supervises staff, assigns and reviews work, and ensures safety and regulatory compliance.
• Develops and administers department budgets, procurement, and contract provisions.
• Ensures EPA/DEQ/Health Department compliance and prepares reports for regulatory agencies.
• Maintains hydraulic model and backflow prevention program.
• Reviews specifications for equipment and materials and interfaces with engineers and consultants.
