The City of Alexandria is seeking an Administrator, Water and Wastewater Operations to lead the Water and Wastewater Departments, overseeing construction projects, maintenance, and overall operations of the treatment plant, lines, and pumping systems. The role involves multi-disciplinary coordination and 24-hour call readiness.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, seven years of supervisory experience in water utilities, Class IV certifications, and a valid Louisiana

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering or related field preferred.
• Seven (7) years of progressively responsible supervisory experience in water utility management, contract administration, water system design and construction or related field.
• Class IV certifications in Water Production, Distribution, and Treatment and Wastewater Treatment and Collection as issued by the State of Louisiana at the time of appointment.

Responsabilidades

• Organizes, schedules, supervises, assigns, reviews, and inspects operations, maintenance, and construction activities of the water production/distribution systems and the wastewater collection, treatment, and storm water pumping systems.
• Develops fire protection requirements and ensures maintenance of the fire hydrants.
• Ensures compliance with EPA, DEQ, and Department of Health and Hospitals rules and regulations; prepares information for state/federal regulatory agencies regarding the annual Treatment Plant Environmental Audit.
