Job summary

Garratt-Callahan is seeking a Water Treatment Chemical Service Technician to support sales in South Bend, IN. This role includes testing, customer support, and collaboration with Territory Managers to grow the customer base in Northern Indiana and Southern Michigan.

First year compensation ranges from $65,000 to $80,000 depending on experience, with a $675 monthly car allowance, comprehensive benefits, and ongoing training. A clear career path into sales is described.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in the listed fields is required or strongly preferred.
• Nice to have backgrounds: lab experience, field service, plumbing, pipe fitting, welding, HVAC, electric.
• One-year technical sales or internship related to water treatment chemicals is preferred; training and mentoring available.

Responsibilities

• Solve customers' water problems.
• Treat industrial boilers and cooling towers to keep energy efficient and environmentally friendly.
• Perform detailed water testing & analyses at Data Centers, Industrial sites, Manufacturers, Food Processors, Medical Centers, and Commercial Buildings.
• Help sell Garratt-Callahan's proprietary chemical blends, equipment, & monitoring technology.
• Passivation of stainless steel in industrial water treatment systems.
• Help sell corrosion & scale inhibitors, coagulants, flocculants, biocides, bio-augmentation, feed & monitoring equipment, water management plans, reverse osmosis products.
• Help sell Water Safety Programs.
• Keep our existing customers happy.

Education

Technical degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Paper Science, or Water Resources
