Job summary

Garratt-Callahan seeks a Chemical Service Technician to support sales by serving existing customers in Chicagoland. You will conduct water tests and collaborate with Territory Managers, with a clear path to advance to Territory Manager and earn commissions and bonuses.

Salary ranges from $65,000 to $80,000 in the first year, plus a $675 monthly car allowance, medical/dental/vision, 401k, and training. Requires a 4-year science degree and the ability to live in the Chicagoland area.

Qualifications

• Requires a technical degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, biology, mechanical engineering, paper science, or water resources.
• Must have a 4-year science degree to qualify for this position.

Responsibilities

• Solve customers' water problems.
• Treat industrial boilers and cooling towers to keep energy efficient and environmentally friendly.
• Perform detailed water testing & analyses at industrial sites, medical centers, data centers, and commercial buildings.
• Help sell proprietary chemical blends, equipment, and monitoring technology.
• Passivation of stainless steel in industrial water treatment systems.
• Sell water safety programs and related monitoring equipment.
