Job summary

Aqua, an Essential Utilities company, is seeking a skilled operator for wastewater facilities in the New Garden area. You will maintain mechanical and electrical systems, perform plumbing tasks, and monitor plant performance to ensure safe, compliant operations.

Excellent communication and teamwork are essential, as you will support multiple sites and respond to after-hours emergencies. A company vehicle may be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid US driver’s license.
• Wastewater Class E license.
• Five (5) years of equipment/systems maintenance in an industrial environment preferred.
• Associate degree or certification in mechanical or electrical competency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair mechanical and minor electrical equipment at wastewater treatment plants and pump stations.
• Perform plumbing and piping work with PVC, PE, copper, steel, and cast iron.
• Operate tools and equipment required for plant and pump station work.
• Monitor operations of wastewater facilities; conduct testing and reporting to meet permits.
• Propose process changes to improve performance and efficiency.
• Monitor collection system performance and recommend improvements.
