Veolia in North America is seeking a Water Treatment Operator to support daily operation and maintenance of water treatment facilities in Mississippi. You will perform routine testing, monitor instrumentation, and maintain pumps, basins, and related equipment to ensure water quality according to regulatory standards.

Under supervision, you will adjust chemical feeds, log results, and report needed repairs while adhering to safety guidelines and plant procedures.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Some technical or mechanical work experience preferred.
• Ability to learn wastewater plant operations and obtain licenses.

Aufgaben

• Conduct routine water testing and record results in plant log book.
• Maintain treatment units including basins, filters, sampling equipment, and pumps.
• Identify and report repairs for plant equipment (pumps, valves, motors, etc.).
• Monitor charts, gauges, and analyzers; calibrate instrumentation per permit or manufacturer specs.
• Calculate chemical feed rates and adjust treatment to meet water quality requirements.
