Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a wastewater treatment operator to perform daily rounds, record data, and support safe, compliant operations at the facility. You will read meters, adjust pumps, collect samples, and maintain logs while ensuring adherence to health, safety and regulatory guidelines.

The role requires a high school diploma (GED acceptable) and may prefer an associate degree in environmental science or related field; training will cover plant processes and safety protocols.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required.
Associate degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Biology/Laboratory or related fields preferred.

Responsibilities

Record and read meters for pumps, gauges, and motors per regulatory requirements.
Record tank levels and sludge blanket levels.
Operate wastewater treatment equipment at the assigned station.
Maintain a logbook and prepare required reports.
Assist with safety and compliance with environmental rules.
