City of Deltona seeks a dedicated Water Treatment Operator to collect and analyze water samples in accordance with state and federal laws. You will monitor SCADA systems, operate valves and pumps, and document test results during routine plant inspections.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and Florida water license eligibility. A valid Florida driver’s license is needed to access field sites and coordinate with other team members.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Florida water license (Class C/B/A) or ability to obtain within a reasonable time.

Responsabilités

• Operate gauges, meters and control panels to regulate the treatment process.
• Monitor SCADA system and adjust plant operations via radio signals.
• Maintain valves, motors, pumps and engines manually or by remote control.
• Collect samples and perform routine laboratory tests; certify results.
• Inspect plant facilities and ensure grounds are clean and orderly.
