Job summary

American Water Works Association seeks a licensed Florida water plant operator to monitor and operate the water system via SCADA, collect samples, and address customer inquiries. The role includes field work, logging activities, and reporting to the Supervisor.

Applicants must have a Florida Class A license (or Class B with plan to upgrade within 6 months), at least five years’ experience, and a valid Florida driver’s license. Shift work includes nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have Florida Class A public drinking water plant operator license
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience
• Valid State of Florida Class E Driver's License

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate the water system using SCADA.
• Collect water quality samples and log results.
• Investigate customer water quality inquiries.
• Log activities and report to the system Supervisor.
• Work a rotational shift, including nights and weekends.
