Aqua, an Essential Utilities company, is seeking a FO Trainee to operate and maintain water and wastewater treatment processes, and support the plant and collection systems near Fort Wayne, IN. Learn required certifications while contributing to safe, reliable service for our communities.

Responsibilities include daily operations, equipment maintenance, and answering customer inquiries, with on-call duties and potential weekend shifts after training.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• A valid U.S driver’s license.
• Must be able to lift and move equipment over 50 lbs and work in confined spaces.
• Must reside within 45-60 minutes of Ft. Wayne, IN.

Responsibilities

• Operate treatment processes and equipment in water/wastewater facilities.
• Maintain the wastewater collection system.
• Conduct daily plant duties, monitor chemical usage, sample collection, and equipment maintenance.
• Respond to customer questions and complaints.
• Support other departments, including customer service, as needed.
• Perform On-Call duties for plant/collection system issues.
