Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a maintenance-friendly operator to support the City of Sturgeon Bay water treatment and wastewater systems. The role emphasizes safe operation, process monitoring, and timely data recording to meet permit limits.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, with 1–2 years in municipal water work preferred. CDL within 1 year and Wisconsin Water Certification within 5–7 years are required or planned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years in municipal water treatment or related field preferred.
• Must hold or obtain Wisconsin Water Certification within 5–7 years.
• Must obtain Wisconsin Commercial Driver's License within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, inspect and maintain water and wastewater equipment safely and efficiently.
• Collect samples for process control and compliance monitoring.
• Log flows, tank levels, pump speeds, and maintain accurate records.
• Perform preventive maintenance, housekeeping tasks, and inspections.
• Respond to field water issues and assist with locating underground utilities.
• Comply with company safety programs and regulatory requirements.
