Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a Plant Operator to control wastewater treatment processes, monitor equipment, and prepare daily operational logs. The job is in an industrial setting with rotating shifts, exposure to dust, heat, noise, and potentially sewage or confined spaces.

Required: High School Diploma or GED, at least two years’ experience in wastewater equipment operation, and ASOPE PPO II Operator License plus a Wisconsin driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Two years of experience operating wastewater equipment or powerhouse equipment.
• Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and lab sampling.

Responsibilities

• Operates assigned plant processes.
• Starts/stops equipment and monitors semi-automatic controls, troubleshoots, and refers issues to supervisor.
• Records meter readings and prepares daily shift reports.
• Takes periodic samples for lab analysis and performs tests for process control.
• Maintains log and supports other duties as assigned.
