Job summary

Culligan by WaterCo in Modesto, CA seeks a service technician with at least 1 year of plumbing experience to operate a company vehicle, perform diagnostics, installations and maintenance on residential and commercial water treatment equipment, and interact with customers to explain status and solutions.

Qualifications

• DOT physical, drug screening, and background check per state/federal law.

Responsibilities

• Operate a company vehicle safely in compliance with DOT laws.
• Complete daily service orders promptly and accurately.
• Diagnose, install or remove water treatment equipment; identify and fix malfunctions.
• Maintain excellent customer relationships by communicating equipment status and solutions.
• Ensure timely payment collection upon service completion and assist with past due receivables.

Salary Details:

• Up to $22-$25/hour

Schedule: 7:30am to 4pm Monday thru Friday with some Saturdays

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safe operation of a Company vehicle in accordance with state and federal DOT laws.
• Adherence to established safety procedures.
• Completion of daily service orders promptly.
• Perform diagnostics, installations or removals on residential and commercial water treatment equipment; identify malfunctions and resolve accordingly.
• Foster customer relationships through direct interaction, effectively communicating equipment status and providing problem-solving solutions.
• Ensure timely collection of payments upon service completion and assist in past due receivables collection.

Work Location:

• Based at our Modesto, CA office, with occasional travel to nearby Culligan branches as required.
• Minimum of 1 year or more plumbing experience
• Valid driver’s license
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Familiarity with the city area where duties will be performed
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal/written)
• Please note, candidates offered a position must undergo a DOT physical (at the time of hire and every two years thereafter), a drug screen, and a background check in line with state and Federal laws.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift over 100 pounds with assistance of dolly or lift
• Ability to drive for extended periods (2-3 hours)
• Ability to kneel/bend for extended periods.
