Job summary

Culligan by WaterCo in Modesto, CA is seeking a Field Services Technician to perform diagnostics, installations, and maintenance on water treatment equipment. You will work from our Modesto office with occasional travel to nearby Culligan branches, following safety rules and DOT regulations.

The role requires at least 1 year of plumbing experience, a valid driver’s license, and a high school diploma or equivalent. The schedule is 7:30am–4pm, Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year plumbing experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• DOT physical and background checks as required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Safe operation of a Company vehicle in accordance with state and federal DOT laws.
• Adherence to established safety procedures.
• Completion of daily service orders promptly.
• Perform diagnostics, installations or removals on residential and commercial water treatment equipment; identify malfunctions and resolve accordingly.
• Foster customer relationships through direct interaction, effectively communicating equipment status and providing problem-solving solutions.
• Ensure timely collection of payments upon service completion and assist in past due receivables collection.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Work Location

• Based at our Modesto, CA office, with occasional travel to nearby Culligan branches as required.
• Minimum of 1 year or more plumbing experience
• Valid driver’s license
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Familiarity with the city area where duties will be performed
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal/written)
• Please note, candidates offered a position must undergo a DOT physical (at the time of hire and every two years thereafter), a drug screen, and a background check in line with state and Federal laws.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift over 100 pounds with assistance of dolly or lift
• Ability to drive for extended periods (2-3 hours)
• Ability to kneel/bend for extended periods.
