Job summary

Alpha Scientific is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead growth across the North of England and Scotland in the Water Treatment sector. The role involves identifying new clients and supporting existing accounts to expand market share, with 37.5 hours weekly and some flexibility required.

The candidate will engage with hospitals, councils and laboratories, present technical service capabilities, and work closely with the lab team for seamless account transitions.

Qualifications

• Experience in account management within field sales.
• Proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
• Confident with Office 365 suite and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Achieve area sales growth targets for North England and Scotland.
• Develop and implement a robust sales plan for Water Treatment clients including hospitals, councils, and labs.
• Identify and target new business while managing existing accounts to a high standard.
• Present product and service capabilities to clients and attend industry conferences.
• Collaborate with laboratories to ensure seamless account transitions and support.
• Maintain and report sales pipeline data; attend internal and external meetings.
