Job summary

McMillen, Inc. designs and builds solutions shaping water resources infrastructure. As a Millwright, you will assemble, maintain, and machine components critical to water treatment and distribution, collaborating with engineers to ensure reliability.

You must have a mechanical background, apprenticeship or technical training, and a strong commitment to safety, including PPE and LOTO, with the ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; apprenticeship/technical program preferred.
• Experience with pumps, valves, and water treatment components.
• Proficient with lathes, mills, and grinders.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safety and PPE use.

Responsibilities

• Install, align, and maintain pumps, valves, motors, gearboxes, and related components.
• Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose, repair, and reassemble mechanical systems.
• Operate lathes, mills, and grinders for fabrications.
• Weld and fabricate for infrastructure repairs.
• Inspect for wear, corrosion, and performance.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve system functionality.
• Maintain safety protocols and LOTO procedures.
• Keep records of maintenance activities and parts.
