Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; millwright/apprenticeship preferred.
• Experience with pumps, valves, and water systems.
• Skilled in operating lathes, mills, and grinders.
• Strong understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Ability to read blueprints and manuals.
• Commitment to safety and PPE use.
• Excellent problem-solving and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Install, align, and maintain pumps, valves, motors, gearboxes.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues; disassemble/reassemble parts.
• Operate lathes, milling machines, and other precision tools.
• Modify components to meet operational needs.
• Weld and fabricate for infrastructure repair.
• Inspect for wear, corrosion, and performance issues.
• Test equipment after repairs or installations.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve systems.
• Follow safety protocols including LOTO and confined space.
• Ensure repairs meet industry standards and company specs.
• Maintain clean, organized work area.
• Coordinate repairs with engineers/operators.
• Keep detailed maintenance records.
• Assist training of team members or apprentices.
