Job summary

UL Solutions in Northbrook, IL is seeking a senior leader to drive capacity and capability management within the Engineering team. This hybrid role requires 3 onsite days in Northbrook and involves coordinating with cross-functional leads, customers, and project handlers to align resources and achieve performance goals.

You will mentor staff, drive process improvements, ensure compliance with policies, and support sales by understanding pipeline and customer needs.

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering or Business.
• 5+ years in an analytical laboratory.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with NSF 60, 61 and NSF 372 standards.
• Experience operating Agilent GCMS and ICPMS.
• GCMS data validation for BNA method 625 and VOC method 524.
• Knowledge of SOP creation and maintenance.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Implements capacity and capability management under Engineering Manager guidance.
• Engages cross-functional leads and customers to understand project scope and technical needs.
• Drives process improvements to achieve financial results.
• Supports and mentors team members to drive performance.
• Ensures compliance with policies and requirements.
