Job summary

UL Solutions is seeking a seasoned Facilities Leader for the Northbrook campus. You will oversee daily operations, maintenance, and services, managing internal staff, service providers, and contractors to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-efficient building operations.

You will develop teams, manage budgets, monitor compliance, and drive continuous improvement across facilities, with emphasis on safety, asset reliability, and stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• Managerial experience with budget and personnel responsibilities.
• Strong organizational and matrixed-organization skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite.
• Experience overseeing technical and administrative staff.
• FMP or related facilities certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily facilities operations, maintenance, and building services at the Northbrook campus.
• Supervise and develop facilities technicians, maintenance personnel, and contractors.
• Manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for building systems.
• Oversee maintenance projects and site improvements with internal and external resources.
• Support budgeting, cost control, and capital project planning.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and space utilization.
• Ensure regulatory, environmental, and life-safety compliance.
• Monitor vendor performance and manage contracts.
• Collaborate with Security, EHS, Real Estate, IT, and business units.
• Respond to emergencies and communicate with stakeholders.
• Utilize CMMS/IWMS to track work orders and asset performance.
• Provide regular performance and budget reporting to Facilities leadership.
• Support corporate facilities standards and continuous improvement.
