Job summary

The Knoxville Utilities Board (KUB) is seeking an Engineer to join a team of engineers, project coordinators, and inspectors who design and oversee capital improvement projects for water and wastewater systems in the Knoxville area. Minimum qualifications include an ABET-accredited engineering degree and 1–3 years of relevant experience; AutoCAD/ArcGIS and a valid driver’s license are required.

PE license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems, Mechanical, Chemical, or related engineering field from a four-year ABET-accredited college or university.
• 1–3 years of demonstrated experience in related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to communicate policies, procedures, and objectives effectively.
• General knowledge of or ability to learn AutoCAD and ArcGIS.
• Have and maintain a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and oversee capital improvement projects for water and wastewater systems.
• Collaborate with engineers, project coordinators, and inspectors to ensure project success.
• Ensure safety, reliability, and future readiness of water distribution and wastewater collection systems.
