Job summary

Medix is seeking an Automation Engineer to support automation and controls for critical water and utility systems in Colorado. This hands-on role coordinates with SCADA, RO, and processing equipment to ensure reliable operation, monitoring, and control of facility processes.

You will troubleshoot, maintain, and improve automation systems, participate in system upgrades, and collaborate with engineering and operations to meet regulatory requirements in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Experience designing and maintaining automation systems in regulated manufacturing.
Hands-on troubleshooting of PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and actuators.
Strong documentation and change-control practices.

Responsibilities

Support and troubleshoot SCADA and automation systems used to monitor and control facility water systems.
Work with process water systems, water purification equipment, and reverse osmosis (RO) systems.
Troubleshoot control system issues involving PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation, sensors, valves, pumps, and other automated equipment.
Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and automation.
Support programming, configuration, and modification of automation and control systems.
Assist with the integration and commissioning of new equipment and automation systems.
Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, and other technical teams to resolve equipment and process issues.
Support documentation, system changes, testing, and troubleshooting in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Participate in automation projects involving upgrades, system improvements, and new equipment installations.
